Welcome from the Office of Tobacco Control

Fiscal Year 2012 provides the Mississippi State Department of Health Office of Tobacco Control with opportunities to move forward with the implementation of innovative strategies and evidence-based practices required to reduce tobacco use among Mississippians. The efforts of the MSDH Office of Tobacco Control’s grantees are vital to the success of the program in reducing the burden of tobacco use among our young people and adults.

The Mississippi Tobacco Data evaluation on-line reporting database site will continue to help us to collect monthly data from all of the grantees to determine the scope, depth and effectiveness of tobacco prevention and control programs. In addition, this website will continue to be a user-friendly site that serves not only as a reporting system, but as a platform for grantees to share resources, information and events. If you have any problems with the use of this site, contact bonita.reinert@usm.edu.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you be effective as we work together to decrease tobacco use in Mississippi. We look forward to Moving Forward in FY 2011 with the assistance and support of all of you!
